I myself am unintentionally fetishized by the gay community every now and then. I upload a lot of pictures to my Flickr account - just day to day stuff - and sometimes there will be pictures of me smoking a cigar or a pipe. After I post pictures of me smoking, I’ll always get notices that other Flickr members have favorited those pics. So, I’ll go to those people’s pages and based on what pictures they post, what ones they mark as favorites, and who they are friends with on Flickr, it’s reasonable to conclude that they are gay. At the very least, they are big fans of dudes. And smoking. And possibly beards.

But it doesn’t bother me. If they want to get their jollies to my pics, so be it. At least *someone’s* fantasizing about me.
